Mark 13: Do the disciples get a bad rap?

There are so many times where we tend to give the disciples a bad rap for their mistakes and lack of understanding. And yet, how would you and I feel if all ours were written down for everyone to see. We should take note of two things: first,
those things that are recorded are there for us to learn from. Every one of those novice demonstrations is there for us, guiding us to help us not make the same mistakes. Secondly, there are many positives to learn from too.

As I read this intriguing message by Jesus about what to expect in the future, I was reminded that it is included in the gospels because the disciples asked a question. One question and we get to benifit from there boldness and desire to know and understand. Today, I stand thankful for the example and life of the disciples and aim to grow as quickly as they did. After all, they went to Jesus University for 2 and 1/2 years and then launched a church planting movement that carried itself right into the 21st century, not bad.
