Mark 4: Sowing in the 21st century

What defines a sower?
One who actually sows. I am afraid there are times where my strategy about sowing gets me away from actually being a sower. A sower will often find himself around other sowers, but I'm not convinced there should be total comfort there. A sower should often be around the seed, but he should feel out of step unless he is actually doing something with the seed, besides collecting
it for himself. And finally, as this parable reveals, a sower sows, and in multiple fields.

What practical or doctrinal implications are behind, "he who has ears to hear, let him hear"? Possibly that's answered by the next Verse, 10.

When Jesus explains the parable attention is given to soil types. Seed is cast in all directions, but all gardeners know that seed does best when the soil has been given attention. Prep, watering, loosening, turning over...... All taking time and attention as the seed is planted. But as Verse 30,31,32 show we had better not wait to sow, thinking we will have it all figured out before we do. There is this an amazing part about faith sprouting in a soul that can't be mass producedor fully understood, but that must not keep us from spreading the seed of the gospel. God help me be faithful in doing this.
